Red laterite is a difficult subject. Under a high sun it goes flat and orange; twenty minutes after sunrise it separates into a dozen distinct reds. The whole circuit is arranged around those twenty minutes, twice.
Group size is capped at six so that everyone gets the front row, and the itinerary is deliberately loose: if the light is doing something, we stay.

We walk the compositions before the light arrives, so nobody is choosing a frame at golden hour.

Milky Way core over the pinnacles from May to September. Red head torches only.
Day 2 · 05:00
Dawn, then the good twenty minutes
Blue hour on the east point, then the low sun separating the strata. We leave when it stops working.
