Six days is the shortest honest version. Anything less and you spend the trip in the vehicle.

How the time is spent

  1. Day 1

    Montagne d'Ambre

    Rainforest, waterfalls, chameleons, and a temperature drop of ten degrees.

  2. Day 2–3

    Ankarana

    Caves, the grey tsingy, the perched canyon and a night walk.

  3. Day 4

    Red Tsingy and camp

    Afternoon on the rim, dinner at La Rouge, night on the plateau.

  4. Day 5

    Three Bays

    Sakalava, Dune and Pigeons bays, then Ramena for the night.

  5. Day 6

    Emerald Sea

    Pirogue out at dawn, grilled fish on the sand, back to Antsiranana late afternoon.
